Career Objective:

To achieve an academic excellence in language teaching and research. Always interested in investigating the language – literature praxis, to understand the nuances and language play in relation to socio-cultural factors and forces operational within a text and its context. Literature teaching is a passion. Other area of interest includes research of socio-political aspects of Hindi vis-à-vis other languages in pre and post independence India. Translation is a hobby.
Academic Qualification:
M.Phil in English from University of Delhi in 2004. M.A. in English from University of Allahabad in 1999. B. A. from university of Allahabad in 1996

Work experience: Presently working as an Assistant Professor at Rajdhani College, since December 2004.

1. Shivaji College from Aug.2001 to April 2002, as an adhoc lecturer.

2. Satyawati College (Day) from August2002 to April 2003.

3. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College from July to September 2003.

4. Shyamlal College (Day) from July 2003 to December 2004.

6. Worked with Prof.Richard Allen of National Open University K, London for an M.Phil dissertation

7. Translated into English from Hindi the poetry of noted Hindi poet Hemant Kukreti’s award winning collection chand par naav for SAARC magazine.

8. Working as an editorial member for the newsletter of FORTELL(forum for teachers of Enlish language and literature) since 2005.
Present Engagements:  
1.Writing text material for Institute of Life Long Learning, University of Delhi, South Campus on Translation and Interpreting.
Area of interest:
Translation studies, Issues and Problems of language in India, literature on India.Post colonial and cultural studies and language learning and language teaching.
