Rachna Sethi has been the Secretary of FORTELL since August, 2008 and has co-edited 4 issues
of FORTELL journal. She is Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Rajdhani College,
University of Delhi. Apart from teaching, she has actively contributed to corporate life of college by
being an enthusiastic member and convenor of various committees like the Debating Society, Magazine
Editorial Committee, Trekking, Mountaineering and Environmental Protection Club, English Literary
Association and Alumni Association.

Her areas of interest are post colonial literature and translation studies. She won the Katha award for translation in 2004. She has worked as research assistant for publications of the Women’s Studies and Development Centre, University of Delhi, the India International Centre’s Asia Project, and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations of the Government of India. She has been a research member recently for two Indo-Canadian projects “Managing Diversity in Canada and India: Voices from Literature, Culture and Politics” and “Managing Diversity: Oral Cultures as Resources in Indigenous Communities in Canada and India”. She has also been part of research team of Sahitya Akademi project on “Narrating and Translating Women’s Cultural Heritage in Chamba”. She is part of IGNOU expert committee for several M.A. Courses to be introduced by School of Gender and Development Studies.
